Most people live in a constant state of dehydration simply due to the effects of not drinking enough water… and don’t even know it.

There are so many negative effects of dehydration, some more critical than others.

For example, one of the side effects of not drinking enough water is taxing effect on our kidneys. They are not able to remove the toxins from our body effectively as they don’t have enough ‘fluid’ to flush our systems the way they are meant to.

Instead, they overwork trying to flush ‘sludge’ instead of fluid from our system and hence can’t properly clean the urea and uric acid (amongst other toxins) the way they are meant to.

Many people also suffer from stomach pain or heartburn and often it’s due to lack of water… yet this simple remedy is rarely considered.

Achy joints and muscles can also be remedied or at least alleviated by a decent water intake as it provides ‘lube’ and the hydration our body needs

Headaches or migraines can be a symptom of dehydration too and can often be eliminated by drinking extra water. Often it’s the toxins in our body that cause them in the first place.

Getting enough water also aids in our circulation and the ability for our blood to transport nutrients and oxygen through out system.

Drinking water also helps with fatigue. Try it! :-) Next time you’re feeling tired or get the mind afternoon wilting period, drink a glass of clean water (or so). You’ll notice the difference.

Believe if or not, even water retention can be eliminated by drinking more water. Yes I know it sounds ironic, but it’s true.

Irritability or depression can also be a symptom of dehydration as well as often we feel to sluggish to have the energy to feel ‘alive’.

Dry skin, constipation and even high blood pressure can also be a result of being dehydrated… even mildly.

In conclusion there are so many side effects of not drinking enough water yet as mentioned, often people don’t even realize the solution is so simple.

If you are noticing any of these signs, it could be that you are not drinking enough water too.

If so, you should do yourself a simple favor and make regular hydration a routing habit as it truly plays a part in ensuring your keep your body in optimal health.

Keeping your body ‘clean’ and well flushed will pay dividends once you get into the habit and you will soon realize that water goes well beyond simply quenching our thirst.
